I love independent artists, I have spent a life time scouring the depths of the underground for those few precious, undiscovered gems that whisper stories no one else dares to utter.
However, all too often an artist will refer to themselves as "indie" simply because they haven't bothered to master their instrument of choice or their recordings fail to capture white lightning in a bottle... they brandish the "indie" label like a white flag of surrender to their own unavoidable lack of enduring appeal...
Don't make the mistake of lumping Stella Donnelly with this crowd. Witty, intuitive song writing, sparse but beautiful arrangements and an effortless authenticity...

So damn good! There are a lot of Hendrix references floating around this band - this sounds more like the experience with Noel Redding handed complete control - Maybe with Keith moon on the drums.., some how so 60's and British... but tight as all hell! Super cool.
You keep doing you PPC - big love
