Corn Nut Creek is an Americana-infused country folk duo. Their music displays the intricately crafted American Old-Time style of songwriting. The band features the artful banjo of Tanya Bradley, paired with the deft fiddle work and soulful lilting vocals of Danielle Vita. Melbourne-based Tanya Bradley and Sydney-based, New York native Danielle Vita met nine years ago in Hong Kong, where they played together as part of the Dulcet Tone Collective, a modern five-piece folk orchestra. It was here they discovered their mutual love of folk and bluegrass music and the seeds of a beautiful and creative partnership were planted. They have been performing, collaborating and writing music together for the greater part of 10 years. Corn Nut Creek released their debut EP Feels Like Travelling Home in March 2020. The album is a unique mix of country folk songs with soulful melodies, original Appalachian-style tunes and hard fiddle-driven Bluegrass. Their songs tell raw stories of womanhood, which are transporting, honest and effortless. Danielle was recently the first place winner in the vocal category of the 2020 Deer Creek Fiddler’s Convention in the USA. Their debut EP was recently featured on Felicity Urquhart’s ‘Saturday Night Country’on the ABC and Music From Foggy Hollow, which airs on Bluegrass Country Radio in Washington DC. Corn Nut Creek have also been featured on Charles Christian’s Americana Radio Show (UK), The Brad Kolodner Old Time Jam (USA), Jolene Country Music Blog (AUS), Australian Bluegrass Blog (AUS) and Ear To The Ground Music Blog (USA). They are thrilled to be planning their first Australian tour for 2021.
