Unearthed Listeners I'm following:

Crystal Robins is an emerging singer-songwriter based in Darwin, Australia, bringing to the stage a sweet upbeat mix of acoustic folk, looped harmonies and relatable lyrics. Growing up within Sydney’s vibrant live music scene, music has been her obsession from a young age, leading her to play with numerous bands and travel the country. Notably, she has performed on stage with Karen O (“Yeah Yeah Yeahs”) at The Sydney Opera House for Vivid Live, at Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Darwin Festival and Illawarra Folk Festival, and toured Australia supporting The Pointer Sisters & Boney M. Now with her focus on pursuing a solo project, Crystal's original songs showcase a mix of indie-folk and pop melodies, drawing on her diverse musical experiences, and her skills as a multi-instrumentalist and captivating vocalist. Her debut single release "Wildfire" (Jan 2021) showcases her sweet, soulful voice, and demonstrates her songwriting talents - the song was shortlisted in Listen Up Music’s Songwriting Prize 2020. In 2020 Crystal was selected for Darwin Entertainment Centre's inaugural ESCALATE program for emerging performers, where she was mentored by award-winning singer songwriter Toni Childs. She then went on to support another legendary Australian songwriter Wendy Matthews at Darwin Entertainment Centre, and renowned virtuoso guitarist/songwriter Daniel Champagne at his two sold out shows in Darwin. And it doesn’t stop there. With a day job as a registered music therapist Crystal is passionate about the power that music plays in the art of healing. She exemplifies the fact that “music is a powerful art form with the ability to heal through songwriting & storytelling, as both a form of emotional expression, and very importantly as a way to connect with others.” "Crystal is one of those performers who manage to balance lyrical depth with musical virtuosity so that neither aspect outshines the other. Her words flow like water between her arpeggiated melodies, merging to form a river of deep reflection, her vocal power the tide that rises and falls over the song’s course... She is simply a pleasure to see live, from the first confident strum of her acoustic guitar to her final bow before exiting the stage."
