A prime of example of true musicianship, the introduction of this song really speaks 'less is more' and effortlessly delivers. Perfectly structured, never a dull moment, and the beauty of it all is the originality of this music. The harmonies are superb, and the entrance of the second verse is just absolutely brilliant! Perfectly structured, never a dull moment, and the beauty of it all is the originality of this music. The harmonies are superb, and the entrance of the second verse is just absolutely brilliant! Just the way it all fits, the bass and drums demonstrate clearly the role of a rhythm section and how effective one small thing can be in a single moment, again, the 'less is more' thing. The Dukes of Erlington should be getting a heck of a lot more airplay. Triple J, I needn't say it. You know what to do.

The syncopation of the vocal melody makes it feel so brutally sincere, again, another brilliant song. It's songs like this which make me question why Erling Gronhaug isn't ridiculously famous. This song is the pure essence of inspiration, a true portrayal of the art of music. I just have to listen to this song over and over again until my heart's content. If you haven't heard The Dukes of Erlington, then unfortunately, you're missing out.
